Mars has facinated man through the ages
the Romans named it after thier god of
war. The Italian astronermer Giovanni
Schiaparelli reported seeing canals on its
surface which made him believe there was
intelligent life, but the two American marina
probes found no proof of this. Mars has
icecaps where most of the water is believed to
be. Mars could well support life and an
atmosphere but because of it small size and
week gravitational pull it is supposed it
gradually seeped into space. PHOBOS and
DEIMOS are the two moons of Mars and because
of their small size and irreguality it is
thought that they are captured moons.
